Irish Day
Margaret Ella Boles was just off the boat when she established her bloodline on American soil. My maternal great grandmother, born in NOV 1853, was Irish. St. Pat's is the day on which all of the civilized world dreams of being Irish. For bloggers near and far, please help celebrate the day Paddy drove out the English snakes from the Republic of Ireland. Have a shot o' poteen or a pint o' stout!
Remember, also, that this is the B-day of the Lady of Tart!

Ok, what a pile of rubbish. 1) It was nothing to do with the English and 2) There was no such thing as 'The Republic' of Ireland back then. It was Ireland. One Ireland. Just Ireland.
If you're going to celebrate St Patrick's Day do it in the right spirit... mainly whiskey
True, Mr. C, there was no division between the Unionists and the Republicans at the time of Pat. This blog does not promote religion so the option of Americans' preference of jovial and secular celebration was stressed. Thanks for reading!
I can't drink stout. Can't do it. I'm not much for whiskey either but I did have the Irish coffee and some other drinks that involved Vodka. Not very Irish of me.
Irish enough, Mary!
