This blogger recalls being taught as a child that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This is true. He doesn't recall being told that the United States blockaded Japan to control expansionism.

Agreed! I did not learn that piece about expansionism either. Imagine that!?! Once again: "lies my teacher told me"--only this time by neglect. [Not blaming the teacher--who likely never was told either!]. I didn't have luck with the link working, tho.
Wikipedia should have been mentioned as the source of these links.
Let's not forget the abduction of Korean "comfort women" or Nanking.
