Tuesday's Word: contentment
contentment* \ken-'tent-ment\ n 1 : the quality or state of being contented 2 : something that contents
Contentment, like happiness, is something to which mankind aspires. It signals the attainment of satisfaction, and thus it is a cessation of curiosity. Use wisely. On Sunday afternoon, it was spent with babe Pam & Leo making sure the wine was good enough for consumption!
Our Boy certainly doesn't have any curiosity. His reading level is somewhere between the comics page and the sports section.
This week's word comes by way of Catherine Belle. Merci beaucoup, Mlle.!

Yoga, I've been thinking about the word Contentment since Tuesday's post. I'm not sure that I agree that it is a cessation of curiosity. That feels too final. Perhaps contentment is really a spiritual acceptance of surroundings and inner peace.
Apathy is a cessation of curiosity.
It's open to interpretation. My hope is to ramain intellectually inquisitive and never to think I know everything. This is in stark contrast to the Decider who knows enough about everything to decide for a whole country. He doesn't give a crap about what he hasn't learned.
Yes, but I don't think the Decider will be content until everyone who has a brain cell is in prison. Did you see My Left Wing today about the film review site that Dept of Homeland Security confiscated?
No, didn't see My Left Wing; will check!
